This antique Turkmen Chapan jacket is made of raw silk with gorgeous hand embroidery. It was made in Turkmenistan circa 1950s-1970s. The jacket has a newer cotton lining which gives it a nice weight to it. It is in good vintage condition. There are a couple minor imperfections and slightly faded portions of fabric of which add to the authenticity and uniqueness of a vintage piece.
The jackets were custom made but one fits like a women's XS/S and the other fits like a M/L. The vest fits like a S/M
Fun fact: This jacket is also featured at the Philadelphia Museum of Art!
